It may appear to be base line, but thats the point in buying a new Harley in a way.
You make it look like you want it to by customizing it. The 240mm tire being standard, saves you $1k by eliminating the need to buy a custom widened swing arm conversion kit.

In Australia bikes and cars are expencive due to our import Tax, Harleys are more then double in price compaired to USA, same goes for parts, what you would pay for $3k or $4k worth of crome extras, cost us in Aust $10k
for instance the complete breaking sysstem, front/ rear including master cyl was $1,960.

I have owned 5 …
I have owned 5 harleys in the past 12 months. The oldest was a 99. Ranging from Sportsters to Baggers. Just bought a brand new Night Train with the 6 speed and FI 96″ engine. My other softail is an 02 Deuce, with a stock 88″ CARBERATED engine. The Deuce runs harder, sounds better, and gets 7mpg better. So you can keep your new technology. I know all about it.

if this is supposed to be harley’s answer to the chopper, they should go back to the drawing board… they should of stretched it more and attatched the rear fender to the frame…i would of also liked to see the tank re-shaped to a more longer thinner look… and why not lower it…to me it looks like a softail with a wider tire and not so impressive rear end…dont want to sound negative, but i was really hoping and waiting for something special.
